Who Is Ian Harding?

This is Ian Harding

Sr. Designer / Freelance Photographer

Originally sharpening my design skills in eastern Ontario, where I graduated from the 3-year Graphic Design program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston followed by my graduation with a certificate in New Media Design from the highly acclaimed Sheridan Institute in Oakville, I now showcase my talents to the world via my home in Calgary, Alberta. My natural eye for detail has helped me solidify my position as a Sr. Designer with the creative team at the world’s original member-generated image and design community, iStockphoto, while still managing to garner myself various other clients along the way. All of this experience has loaded my arsenal with many creative skills resulting in my ability to produce professional level works for everything from print and illustration work to icon and website user interfaces. Whether I am working independently on a freelance project or collaborating with an international team, I am always setting the standard and looking to learn from those around me.

As a result of being exposed to so many talented photographers from around the world on a regular basis, my skills as a freelance photographer have increased dramatically in the past 3 years, and people are starting to notice. I am constantly working to increase my knowledge and skill-sets as a photographer and I am always on the hunt for new photographic adventures. Most recently my work has given birth to photographic projects for the Calgary Food Bank, Hard Knocks Fighting Championship, as well as being offered the role of Event Staff Photographer for Alberta Fashion Week.

When I am not shifting pixels or lights, you can find me outdoors. My love for adventure and physical activity have me soaking in the sun while running half marathons and mountain biking, playing in the snow while ski touring in western Canada, or scoring goals on the local soccer pitch.
